September/Early October Application Help: Senior Workshop eDocs (Using Naviance for Applications) We will teach you how to use Naviance for applications and discuss Common App (must sign up during your elective or free period) UC and CSU Workshops We will cover senior year and application basics (with your English class) Reps will show you how to fill out their applications Road Map to College

Saturday, September 23rd Many workshop topics for both parents and students College Visits Meet with reps from all over the country (must sign up/get permission) What can you do now??? Make sure your Naviance login is working- youll be using it a lot! Make your brag sheet on Naviance Go to the About Me tab, and click on South High Brag Sheet Narrow down your list of colleges Anywhere from 5-10 is a good amount

Safety schools up to reach schools Visit the ones that you havent seen View the application information for each school to see due dates It will affect when you request rec letters from us, etc. Create accounts/start applications (Common App, UC, CSU, etc.) View any essays on the application and start writing drafts Ask people to help you edit them! Decide who you would like to write recommendation letters for you Give people at least 2 weeks of advanced notice Note: Do not ask more teachers than you need!
