Our traffic analytics, based on live, anonymous cellular data, drives traffic and transportation decisions at a fraction of the cost of traditional solutions. Live road traffic information Congestion mitigation & root cause analysis Origin-destination studies Traffic impact studies How It Works Record data Cellular network on roads is mapped during physical drives Network messages are recorded with GPS tags Create road signature database

Recordings are analyzed to create signature of cellular message sequences for each road section Generate real-time traffic feed Live data from network is matched with signature database Real-time traffic (car/truck/rail) per section is provided Confidential and proprietary materials for authorized Verizon personnel and outside agencies only. Use, disclosure or distribution of this material is not permitted to any unauthorized persons or third parties except by written agreement. Monitor live traffic patterns. Traffic Data Services offers new data sources with innovative tools: Verizon collects anonymous cellular location data about once every minute.

We accurately and reliably detect congestion as it occurs, as well as phone location as owners travel, and we calculate speed, direction and flow. We offer data on multi-modal journeys (train, subways, etc.). Travel data is correlated with publicly available demographic data. By collecting and analyzing billions of network data points, we help transportation engineers and planners develop better congestion plans at a more granular level. Generate Signatures for the roads and calibrate them to support speed monitoring and average travel times for each road segment. Completed 2. Conduct a Pilot Test that will include manual counting of vehicles

traveling on 2 freeway locations and 2 arterials and provide a virtual counting station at each of the locations and times from the pilot test. 3. Baseline Report that highlights the results of the comparison between the manual counts and virtual counts. The baseline report will show the accuracy of the virtual counting station data as the total and percentage difference, with respect to the manual counts from the pilot tests. This baseline report will include: a. Average travel times at 15-minute intervals for each route Confidential and proprietary materials for authorized Verizon personnel and outside agencies only.
